ILUMA · How we work
How we work, from a decision to attributable revenue.
Four steps: decide on one offer and the areas you serve, build only the tools it needs, qualify every inquiry with you, then match signed sales to where they came from. Each step has its own measure.
Based in Quebec. We work in English and French.
The four steps
One path, with a measure at each step.
Nothing is built before the offer and the territory are chosen in writing. What is measured changes along the way: searches first, then inquiries, then sales.
- 01 · Decide
Offer and territory
One offer, one clientele and the areas you actually serve, chosen togetherMeasured: A written decision before anything is built - 02 · Build
The right tools
A website or focused page, local SEO and a CRM; a configurator or content only when they serve the goalMeasured: Impressions and clicks in Search Console - 03 · Qualify
Qualified inquiries
Every inquiry is logged with its source, then qualified with youMeasured: Inquiries logged, then qualified - 04 · Attribute
Attributable sales and revenue
Signed contracts are matched to the inquiry they came fromMeasured: Signed sales; revenue only under the attribution rule agreed in writing
Commercial attribution
What counts as a result, link by link.
A visit is not an inquiry, an inquiry is not a sale, and a signed contract is not yet collected revenue. We keep each link separate, with its date and its source.
- 01
Visit
A person reaches one of your pages. Counted in analytics, not as an inquiry.
- 02
Inquiry logged
The form is saved on our server with a reference and its source page.
- 03
Qualified inquiry
You and ILUMA confirm the request fits the offer and the area.
- 04
Confirmed meeting
A meeting that actually takes place. A click on the calendar is not counted.
- 05
Opportunity
A quote or proposal is opened in the CRM.
- 06
Signed contract
The customer signs. This is the first point where a sale exists.
- 07
Invoiced
The amount is invoiced, kept separate from the signature.
- 08
Collected
The payment is received, kept separate from the invoice.
- 09
Attributable revenue
Only revenue that meets the attribution rule agreed in writing before the work started.
Revenue-based partnership
Compensation tied to the revenue the work brings in
For some partnerships, ILUMA's compensation is tied to the revenue attributable to the work agreed together. Terms are set in writing before anything starts.
It applies to revenue from business attributable to the ILUMA setup.
Not to impressions, clicks, the number of inquiries or meetings, nor to the revenue your business was already earning. It is not pay-per-lead.
Agreed in writing beforehand
- The percentage and the period covered.
- Which revenue counts: invoiced or collected.
- The attribution rule and exclusions.
- Any start-up fees, depending on the engagement.
This partnership does not apply to every engagement. An ad budget is only discussed when a case calls for one, separately and in writing.
Our guardrails
What we will not do.
- Mass-produced pages for every city and industry
- Bought links or a promised first position on Google
- Treating a click, a lead or a booked call as a sale
- A testimonial, a client name or a figure we cannot prove
The figures we can prove, with their source and period, are on the results page. For local search in Montreal and Laval, see our Montreal SEO page.
Start with a short conversation.
A first call is enough to see whether there is an opportunity worth developing together.
